Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using bootstraproadmap.com (the "Site") or any of its features, tools, content, or services (collectively, the "Platform"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Bootstrap Roadmap ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Your access to and use of the Platform is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and any other person who accesses or uses the Platform. By creating an account, clicking "I agree," or simply using the Platform, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to the Site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. It is your responsibility to check for updates.
Bootstrap Roadmap is an educational platform providing startup and business guidance through phase-by-phase checklists, task-level educational content, document templates, and interactive tools. The Platform is designed to assist founders and small business owners in organizing and sequencing the process of starting, growing, and eventually exiting a business.
We offer both free and paid subscription tiers. Features available at each tier are subject to change at our discretion. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature, tool, or portion of the Platform at any time without notice or liability.
The content, checklists, tools, calculators, document templates, and all other materials available on the Platform are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this Platform constitutes, and nothing should be construed as, legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, accounting advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional advice.

The Platform expressly recommends that you consult qualified attorneys, CPAs, financial advisors, and other relevant professionals before making any significant business, legal, financial, or tax decisions. The first task in our startup checklist — "Get legal and business advice from a qualified attorney" — is there for a reason.
Document templates made available through the Platform are provided as educational reference materials only. They are generic templates not tailored to any individual's situation, jurisdiction, or applicable law. By downloading any template, you acknowledge and agree that:
To access certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and to update your information as necessary. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or extended inactivity.
We offer free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at the time of purchase. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in our refund policy. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time with reasonable notice to existing subscribers. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (currently Stripe). We do not store full payment card information on our servers. Your use of payment services is also subject to the applicable third-party provider's terms.
We reserve the right to change, limit, or discontinue any subscription plan or feature at any time. If we discontinue a feature you paid for, we will provide a prorated refund or comparable credit at our sole discretion.
The Platform contains affiliate links and sponsored recommendations, particularly within the "We Recommend" sections of task modals and tool pages. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled.
Affiliate relationships and sponsored content do not influence our checklist content, task descriptions, or educational guidance. We only recommend products and services we believe provide genuine value to founders. However, we are not responsible for the products, services, or practices of any third-party vendor recommended on the Platform.
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, checklists, task descriptions, tool logic, graphics, logos, and the overall structure and organization of the Platform — is owned by or licensed to Bootstrap Roadmap and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You may use the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial business planning purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written consent. Specifically, you may not:

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
We make no warranty that the information, content, tools, or templates on the Platform are accurate, complete, current, or applicable to your specific situation. Information may become outdated as laws, regulations, and best practices change. We are not obligated to update any content and may do so at our sole discretion.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BOOTSTRAP ROADMAP, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bootstrap Roadmap and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of or access to the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit through the Platform.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution provisions.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be subject to good faith negotiation between the parties for a period of 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Salt Lake City, Utah. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit in connection with the Platform.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bootstrap Roadmap with respect to the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
